Kratom rules in New York
New York Public Health Law §1399-xx prohibits knowingly selling or providing kratom to people under 21. The current section also sets identification and seller-notice requirements. An age rule is not approval of a particular formulation.

- The section covers physical and online sales notices and limits how transaction-scan information may be used. It identifies New York City’s health department as the local enforcement officer in a city of more than one million people.
- Separate product-specific, federal and local restrictions still need checking. This page does not infer that 7-OH products may be sold merely because the statute contains an age rule.
