Editorial Policy
Kratom Finder is an independent directory. Editorial content is produced under a published set of standards and reviewed by a board-certified physician. Affiliate relationships do not influence editorial judgment.
1. Independence
We do not accept payment for favorable coverage, placement in directories, rankings, or inclusion on the AKA-GMP tracker. Sponsored content, if any, would be clearly labeled as such — currently, no sponsored content is published on this site.
2. Medical review
All clinical, pharmacological, safety, withdrawal, dependence, drug-interaction, and harm-reduction content is reviewed by Dr. Irvine Russell, M.D. (UCI). See our medical review process.
3. Harm-reduction default
Where evidence is ambiguous, we err on the side of harm reduction. We do not downplay risks to serve commercial interests. We flag 7-OH concentrate products separately from leaf kratom despite market overlap, because pharmacology demands it.
4. Source standards
- Primary sources preferred: FDA notices, peer-reviewed studies, state legislation.
- Secondary sources: AKA publications, Kratom Trade Association briefings, reputable news media.
- We do not cite Reddit or forums as authoritative, though anecdotal community reports may be mentioned with clear framing.
5. Affiliate separation
Affiliate links are marked with data-affiliate attributes. A vendor's inclusion on the AKA-GMP tracker or in the brands directory is editorial, not commercial. We have published an affiliate disclosure.
6. Corrections
If we publish an error, we correct it promptly with a note in-place if the correction is material. You can report errors via our contact page. We log all material corrections and the date applied.
7. Retailer listings
Retailer data is aggregated from Google Places and updated quarterly. Inclusion is not an endorsement — we list what\'s publicly indexed. Business owners can claim or submit a listing.
8. Update cadence
Regulatory content (FDA timeline, state legality) is reviewed monthly. Clinical content is reviewed quarterly. Retailer data is refreshed quarterly. Brand and pricing data is reviewed twice yearly.
9. User-generated content
We currently do not accept user comments. Form submissions (submit listing, contact) are not published verbatim.
